For fans of high-octane, high-risk driving and shooting, Wheelman on PC can be picked up from Play for only £7.99, with their customary offer of free delivery!
According to a price-comparison, Play's offer for Wheelman is the cheapest available, with the game costing a quarter of its original price upon release mere months ago! Averaging a mediocre 58/100 on MetaCritic, Wheelman failed to emulate the success of Vin Diesel's other video-game collaboration, The Chronicles of Riddick, which has since gained cult-classic status.
Wheelman is a racing-action game, inspired by the greatest Hollywood scenes of car-chases, shoot-outs and thrilling escapes. It follows Milo Burik, an undercover agent tasked with uncovering the Barcelona underworld's darkest secrets. Milo takes on the role of a Wheelman, a driver-for-hire, but soon finds himself embroiled in criminal warfare. Vin Diesel's baritone is well-suited for Milo's dialogue, although to be perfectly honest, it's hard to define a character who looks, talks and acts like most of the characters Vin Diesel has acted, lending Milo an almost clone-like quality.
Whilst the reception for Wheelman was lukewarm at best, critics did at least praise the the driving aspects of the game. Milo can zip in and out of perilous situations, and perform death-defying stunt-moves, such as spinning the car 180-degrees and spraying his pursuers with slow-motion lead!
