Wii U Owner Finds MiiVerse 'Mock Up Menu' With Mentions Of Unannounced Games

Yoshi's Land Wii U?

Nintendo has admitted that a day-one Wii U owner successfully (even accidentally) discovered a hidden debug area in the social MiiVerse application, which lists a number of as-yet unannounced titles such as Yoshi's Land Wii U, Soul Hackers and even Metal Gear Solid.

NeoGAF member Trike originally posted up the info, claiming that he managed to discover hidden forum boards during initial setup. Some of these boards were ostensibly for Metal Gear Solid, Wii Fit, Metroid, Final Fantasy 3 and Dragon Quest 10, not to mention Soul Hackers titles and 'Yoshi's Island Wii U'. He was also granted moderator privileges.

Nintendo's surprising admission tips this story from rumour to fully-fledged news item. "It has come to our attention that some people were able to access a mock up menu on Miiverse following the launch of Wii U in the US," a Nintendo spokesperson told GamesIndustry. "Please note that this was only a mock up menu and has now been removed and is not accessible."

As you'd expect, they're remaining tight-lipped about whether the likes of Yoshi's Land Wii U and Metal Gear Solid are in fact upcoming games for the platform. We'll have to wait and see.
