Wii Sports Resort (includes Wii MotionPlus) £34.47@ Woolworths [Nintendo Wii Games]It’s been months since Woolworths shut up shop and permanently departed from our UK high streets, but, as tearful shoppers pass the vacant ruins of their most beloved department store with a heavy heart, it might be some comfort to know that Woolworths are still going strong online. And what’s even better is that they currently have the cheapest price on the Nintendo Wii’s Motion Plus and Sports Resort Package.

Woolworths are currently offering this deal for £34.47 which gives you a nice saving on the next best price from Powerplay Direct(£37.49).

By now, with the novelty of the Nintendo Wii starting to wear thin, there is nothing better than getting your hands on Motion Plus and Wii Sports Resort to make your console feel new again. And for fans of Wii Sports – I thought it was actually one of the best games on the Wii – Sports Resort will not disappoint. It’s packed with 12 new games which, even though some are much better than others, will have you coming back for more time and time again.

Particular highlights would have to be archery, which works superbly well with the nunchuck, and the sword fighting game which is a great way to appreciate the Wii Motion Plus. The canoeing is probably one of the least enjoyable mini-games, and not only because you look completely ridiculous when trying to play it. Some old favourites such as golf and bowling are also chucked in with a few new features - and of course the chance to apply the Motion Plus technology. If you own a Nintendo Wii this is a great one off acquisition which will provide that same feeling of excitement you got when first buying your console.
