Like the original Wii Sports before it, Wii Sports Resort has been designed specifically to showcase the unique Wiimote controller; this time highlighting the extra precision and responsiveness afforded by the Wii Motion Plus peripheral, which is bundled with the game.
Everything Play are currently offering the best price for the bundle at £27.99 including delivery. If you are a bit wary of using sites that are not hugely well known then I can tell you that Shop To also have a good deal with an asking price of £29.85. After that you're looking at prices of just under £35 and upwards so these two retailers are offering a great bargain!
Plenty of people still get a whole lot of use out of their original Wii Sports disc (in fact, sadly, many find that it is still the only game that ever gets any play time on their Wii) and that collection was only comprised of five different sports. Wii Sports Resort includes 12 different activities so there is plenty to keep you and your family and friends busy here. All the games have a strong summer holidays theme which will either cheer or depress you on these dark winter nights!
While each of the activities are very simple to pick up - dare I say, even dumbed down? - to ensure maximum accessibility, the addition of the Motion Plus makes every movement a far more intricate and detailed experience, giving you food for thought in every action you take.
Like Wii Sports before it, this does only have limited appeal as a single player game but if you enjoy compelling and high quality multiplayer fun then you will be missing out if you dismiss the latest Wii Sports instalment.
