Thanks to Microsoft being the gold-hoarding fiends that they are, the Xbox 360 being under developed and rushed into production, and the company's stubborn refusal to make an improved version of the machine aside from the occasional hard drive update mean that us poor abused Micro-wives have to fork out for an external USB wireless network adapter. Don't get me wrong, I still love my 360 but it can be a bit high maintenance.
Thankfully, the folks at Coolshop understand this domestic issue, and have lowered the price of the new official Wireless N Adapter to £39.84. Now there are some saying that you can pick this up for £5 cheaper instore at Sainsbury's, but considering that instore deals are less reliable than a narcoleptic nightwatchman, this might be your best bet. While this might still seem a bit like daylight robbery considering that you can get online via WLAN with even your mobile phone for free these days, this is by far the best available price by some margin on this product as most are retailing for £5 or so more.
A wireless network adapter is essential if you're going to get the most out of your Xbox, and with third party options proving to be about as reliable as a drunk at the wheel of an Alfa Romeo, this is probably your finest option.
Be advised that to get the most out of it you'll need a router that's wireless n compatible, but if you haven't I wouldn't worry about it as this piece of kit is perfectly backwards compatible too with a, b, and g networks. It sports increased range over the older router, and if you do have a n network you'll notice that things do run a bit smoother.
If you've already got an original Wireless Adapter then there's not much point in picking one of these up, but if you're yet to get your digital butt online, then this is probably the best way to do it.
