Two online retailers have listed The Witcher 1 for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 ahead of tomorrow's company briefing, heavily suggesting that the epic PC RPG may finally be making its way to consoles.
Update: Tomorrow's major announcement will concern a new RPG in a "brand new setting." Full details here.
Blockbuster currently carries listings for a PS3 and Xbox 360 version, while Coolshop currently features full box art for a PS3 pre-order. Considering that CD Projekt will be holding their summer conference and company briefing tomorrow, this could be the "big announcement" they've been teasing.
CD Projekt hinted that The Witcher: Rise Of The White Wolf was on the cards for home consoles as late as last year (the project originally being canned due to funding problems with publisher Atari), but a promised E3 announcement failed to materialise in favour of Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition and Version 2.0 reveals. We're likely to find out the full details tomorrow.
