The original Castle Wolfenstein on PC was something of a seminal moment for me, a mature, truly frightening experience that made my struggling to complete the Boo Mansion in Mario 64 seem like a walk in the park. The series has changed a lot over the years, but the core of the what we know and love has stayed intact. With this iteration, simply titled Wolfenstein, you have the ability to access the Veil, an alternate dimension that you can 'bleed' into our reality, slowing time or vanishing enemies into oblivion. The trademark multiplayer returns, and whilst Wolfenstein didn't light any critical or commercial fires, its a solid if underwhelming entry in the series. For £8.92, it's a bit of a bargain.
