Xbox 360 250GB (HDMI Cable + 12-Month Xbox LIVE Membership Or Selected £25 Game) £189.99 @ Amazon [Xbox 360 Games]

Amazon are currently offering a deal for the new 250GB Xbox 360 model at the fairly standard price of £189.99 but with a few key incentives. If you purchase this model from Amazon, you'll receive a free HDMI cable, essential for connecting your 360 to an HD-ready TV, and either a free code for 12-months of Xbox LIVE Gold Membership, or a selected game for just £25. The games include Madden 11, Toy Story 3 and Tiger Woods 11.

It's a pretty decent bundle, as the free HDMI cable saves you a tenner or so, and between the 12 months of Xbox LIVE or a free game, you're saving on average around fifty quid. Personally, I'd go with the Xbox LIVE membership, as by itself it's far more expensive than the £25 games, which seemed geared towards a family-friendly approach, with only sports and kids games on offer.

Along with these incentives, you're also getting the brand new Xbox 360 model. With a slick black finish and touch-sensitive buttons, it's a great aesthetic improvement over the old model. But it's not just a visual upgrade. Inside, the new 360 is packing a smaller, quieter and cooler chip-set, meaning its less likely to suffer a Red Ring of Death or sound like a jet-plane's engines revving up when the disc-drive engages. It's also smuggled in an internal Wi-Fi, so you can save your living-room from further tangled cables. The 250GB hard-drive offers ample space for both gaming and multimedia needs, and the bundle itself comes packed with a black Xbox 360 controller and matching black headset.

I'm still waiting on another drop in price before I replace my old Elite with this new model, although if you've been on the fence, either about replacing an old model or finally becoming a 360 owner, then I suggest you plop this deal high on your list.

Just a heads up, only the HDMI cable is free. The games and xbox live membership are available at a reduced cost of £25 in the bundle, making this a fairly mediocre deal.

I followed the link to buy this deal at Amazon.co.uk and it is now £199.99 with no free HDMI cable! Can you change your website please or contact Amazon to let them know they are lying to us! Thanks.
