In our opinion, the Xbox 360 controller is one of the best peripherals ever made. It’s ergonomically-sculpted for comfort, and its thumsticks are the perfect distance apart for a natural playing position. Apart from the woeful D-Pad, it’s a work of genius – and Amazon is currently the cheapest retailer around for the stylish black SKU.
So… why get the wired version? Well apart from the fact that you’ll never need to buy batteries, it’s also compatible with Windows PCs out of the box – making it perfect for playing multiplatform releases. It can't replace a mouse and keyboard for precision, but for marathon comfort, it's hard to beat. Unless you own a decent gaming mouse that is.
You can also get the wireless version for £17.99 at Play.com.
