Controller on the fritz? Accidentally poured beer over it during a heated FIFA session? Threw it at the wall during a Ninja Gaiden II glitch wiped out an hour of progress again? Worry not, because MyMemory are currently charging £16.76 for the official Microsoft wireless controller using their sensational FIFA20 world cup kickoff voucher code. This is a good £4 cheaper than the next leading competitor (SimplyGames)... but don't wait too long as the voucher expires at the end of the weekend!
Remember to use the FIFA20 voucher code at the checkout!
For my money, the Xbox 360 controller is a masterpiece of ergonomic design. The sculpted pad fits comfortably into any hand, with the recessed triggers and bumpers in easy reach of your fingers. It's absolutely fantastic- and frankly, I find it pretty difficult to get back used to the DualShock these days. It's a perfect blend of form, function and comfort that relegates most of the third party offerings into the lower leagues.
Naturally, powering the wireless controller will be a concern. It takes AA batteries, two of which are included but will only last you a few long play sessions. You'll want to invest in a Play and Charge Kit or some Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable batteries for the most cost effective way of keeping your gamepad running.
Some will prefer a wired controller in order to use it on their PCs, but this is a great price that brings the traditionally more expensive wireless pad down to the same price bracket.
