Xbox 360 Sky Sports and Entertainment Pack £14.99 @ Game and Amazon

The Xbox 360 isn't just a games console anymore. The New Xbox Experience has transformed it into a fully-fledged media centre, with rentable movies, music marketplace and even Facebook connectivity. Chief amongst its media applications is Sky Player, which allows Sky TV customers to watch a host of channels and even live television straight from the dashboard. However, Xbox owners without a Sky subscription simply can't make the most of the service and the majority of Sky customers often don't have the ability to watch the sports channels due to their choice of package options. Luckily, Game and Amazon are currently selling the Sky Sports and Entertainment pack for £14.99, which is £10 less than the closest competitor (Gameplay).

The Sports and Entertainment pack provides a month of access to the entire Sky Sports lineup and Entertainment pack, which includes 26 streaming channels. You'll be able to watch Sky 1, Sky Sports, National Geographic, ESPN, MTV amongst many others, as well as a host of on-demand programming.

The most remarkable thing about this deal is that you also get 3 months of Xbox Live Gold and a Media Remote. The remote will normally set you back at least a fiver, but the Gold Card RRPs at £14.99- which is the same price as the whole package. You're essentially getting a month of Sky channels and a Media Remote free with the 3 months of Xbox Live Gold! This is a genuinely impressive deal that probably won't last long, so why not unlock your Xbox's full potential while it's at a bargain price!

Isnt it a bit noisy to watch TV when your XBox is on?

No, it isn't. Stop trying to deliberately stir things up.

Tempted to get one for the remote and 3 months live for 15 quid, but not to hammer my bandwidth just to watch sky channels.

I suppose if you REALLY want Sky, have a very lax bandwidth allowance and don't want a dish on your house it's ok...

Any idea if you can trade in an unused sky card at Game/Gamestation/CEX? Or just flog it on hukd?

Rolly has a point, though. I love my Xbox to bits, but dear god it's loud! It's as if someone put an active extractor fan in a blender, and then whacked the whole lot into a broken dishwasher....

...well maybe not. But it IS loud.

As I understand it, you can do what you want with the subscription card- though it does have an expiry date.

Yeah, the real value here comes from the remote and the Gold membership.
