Xbox One Game Retail Price Set At £49.99

Microsoft has confirmed the official RRP for first-party Xbox One titles on their online store. The likes of Forza 5, Dead Rising 3 and Ryse: Son Of Rome will set you back a penny shy of fifty quid directly from Microsoft, but this will almost certainly be reduced by retailers down the line. That said, many sellers will stick close to the recommended price to cash in on pre-orders and early adopter hype.

It's pretty much business as usual, since £49.99 was the original benchmark for Xbox 360 games. Bring on the price wars, Amazon and ShopTo...

You tell 'em, mate. Stick it to the man. Hit them where it hurts by buying a Sony (I believe games have an RRP of £49.99) or a Nintendo (most games have an RRP of £49.99). That'll learn 'em!

Have you ever paid RRP for a game?
No, me neither.
