Xbox Live Deal of the Week: Prices slashed for Marvel vs Capcom 2, Turtles in Time and Invincible Tiger [Xbox 360 Gaming]

Major Nelson loves to reward his faithful flock of Xbox Live Gold subscribers with weekly deals on Arcade titles. This week, Microsoft have slashed the prices of not one, but three fighting games: Marvel vs. Capcom 2, TMNT Turtles in Time and Invincible Tiger. Each game has been reduced by 400 points, though the savings will only show up for Xbox Live Gold customers.

I'll level with you: Turtles in Time and Invincible Tiger are instantly forgettable. They're serviceable enough, but are fairly mediocre little games that will provide a couple of hours of play before idly taking up space on your hard drive. Turtles in Time is a port of the original arcade release that'll provide a solid dose of nostalgia to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans, but only the hardcore need apply.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is a different beast entirely, as it's generally considered to be one of the best two-dimensional fighters ever released. The fluid combat, deep combo-driven gameplay and eyecatching graphics would be exceptional by themselves, but MvC2's greatest feature is its huge cast of beloved Marvel and Street Fighter characters. Being able to pit Ryu's signature Hadouken against Cyclops' devastating eye beams is just one example of the incredible fan-service matchups you'll be able to witness! Marvel vs. Capcom 2 rightfully surpasses almost every other fighting game out there- and now you can pick it up for a bargain price. You'll have a real blast- and your mates will love you for it!
