Is there a reason you guys don't link to the relevant HUKD thread when you highlight a deal that was posted on there?

I often go hunt the thread out (partly so I can add heat, partly so I can see what others are saying) and am not sure why it's not just linked. Would make it easier for people like me, and would presumably result in more traffic on hukd and more heat on gaming threads there.

@Late: Interesting question, that. In all honesty, that's just 'how we've always done it' (since before I even started here), though I do sometimes link to roundups that go beyond the call of duty. Partly, I suppose it might help us to keep track of stats and performance as far as outgoing links to retailers are concerned.

Naturally we'll always link directly to the store page as a matter of course, but I'll have a think about it.

@Late: I like t think it's because we're giving the reader the quickest route to the retailer if they want to click through and buy the game. No point adding another page in the middle. Naturally we always credit the HUKD member that found the deal if it's not one we found ourselves. Going straight to the retailer from our page also helps avoid cases of 'buffer face' if anyone's on their mobile :)
