Sony's PS4 rest mode issue may have been making headlines, but the Xbox One and Microsoft are having problems of their own this week. Early today, I found myself unable to log onto Xbox Live and it turns out that I'm not alone.
"It’s come to our attention that some of you are unable to sign in to Xbox Live," reads the latest Xbox Live Status update. "Don’t worry, we’re working to get everything back to normal, and we’re grateful for your patience during this process. We’ll update you again in half an hour."
UPDATE: Music and video streaming is now up and running, while it seems that the issue is fairly localised with most players able to sign in as normal. With luck this will be speedily resolved, but until then, let us know if you've been affected!
UPDATE 2: Microsoft has been steadily restoring access to affected Xbox One owners over the last few hours. I am now able to sign in as of 19:08 BST, though the support site still flags up the issue. With luck we should be all sorted soon -- I'll see you in Advanced Warfare Ground War!
UPDATE 3: Microsoft has confirmed that the issue has been fixed as of 19:26, and we can at least confirm it on our end. Let us know if you're still having trouble, but otherwise, happy gaming folks!
