Zenimax Applies For "Hearth Fire" Trademark

New Skyrim Content Inbound?

The trademark-hounds over at Fusible have spotted a computer game software trademark submission for "Hearth Fire" made by Zenimax Media. Since this corresponds with the month of September in Elder Scrolls lore, and it appears several times in Skyrim as a skill book, could Bethesda be planning more Skyrim content?

Interestingly, the month of Hearth Fire/Heartfire coincides with the summoning day for Nocturnal, the Daedric Prince of night and darkness who's allied with the Thieves' Guild. It's possible that Zenimax Media have applied for the trademark as a defensive move, but the relative obscurity of the term makes this fairly unlikely. Otherwise, perhaps Hearth Fire could refer to a potential new service in The Elder Scrolls Online? Either way, Dawnguard was outed in a similar fashion, so we're going to keep an eye on this one.
