Zone Of The Enders Sequel Delayed Indefinitely, Team Disbanded

HD Edition Title Update Incoming

After months of teasing, Hideo Kojima has announced that there won't be a Zone Of The Enders 3 in the foreseeable future.

Why have you forsaken us, Kojima? WHYYY?! Well, it's partly because the team plans to focus on a title update for the Zone Of The Enders HD Collection to improve the frame rate on PS3.

As reported by Siliconera, Kojima made a couple of major Z.O.E. announcements in a recent podcast. First of all, he admitted that the patchy transition from 30 FPS to 60 FPS gameplay in the Zone Of The Enders HD Collection disappointed many longtime players, who "deserve nothing but the smoothest" experience. He and the team have therefore practically reprogrammed the game to even out the choppiness, which will be made available as an automatic title update on PS3. The Xbox 360 won't version won't get patched.

Now for the bad news. The team working on the less-than-mysterious Enders Project has been disbanded, while Kojima re-evaluates the franchise and the fan demand for it. The project is now firmly shelved, so don't hold your breath for any orbital frame action in the near future.
