Yeah, I can hear many of you sighing from here. But there's no denying that Zumba Fitness is one of this year's biggest titles (dominating the charts for several unbroken weeks), and Majesco has announced that a sequel is on the way. Zumba Fitness 2 marks be the first time that songs from mainstream artists will join the custom soundtrack of half-latin, half-insane rumba tunes, and we have the details after the break along with a couple of screens.
Zumba Fitness 2 features the hit track “Pause” from Sony Music recording artist Pitbull, whose blended music is apparently "a favorite among the Zumba Fitness community." Additional confirmed tracks include an exclusive Zumba remix of “Poison,” the dance hit from former lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger, and club favorite “We No Speak Americano” by Yolanda Be Cool & DCup, which has sold more than 1 million copies in the U.S. alone. These songs will join over 30 original tracks from Grammy-winning producers.
Zumba creator Beto and international celebrity instructors Tanya Beardsley and Gina Grant will guide players through "exhilarating" (read: exhausting) dance choreography that spans 20 different international dance styles. For the first time, players can customize their own class with their favorite routines, follow their improvement through an all new Progress tracker and track calories burned.
Zumba Fitness 2 is headed for the Wii on November 2nd... and "an additional platform" in 2012.
